The New Generation Part Two
by Jade Dragon

"God damn! They should be back by now!" Rion anxiously paced the floor and kept glancing at his watch. The others sat around the large table silently. Xavier and Hope had been playing a game of chess, but had abandoned it midway through. Rion continued to pace and muttered curses under his breath. Finally, the door opened and Jasmine and Solo charged through. Rion looked at his younger half-sister and in three bounds crossed the floor. He took her by the shoulders, forcing her to look him in the eyes.
"Jasmine! Where in the fucking hell were you? I asked you to stay nearby and then you just vanished! And you," he said, turning to Solo, "You said you knew where she was and it would only take a minute to get her. You were gone an HOUR!"
Jasmine angrily pushed Rion away. "Back off! I can take care of myself!"
"You're only 13!"
"I'm a Gundam pilot though!" Jasmine stalked off toward the hanger, where her Gundam was being repaired.Rion didn't follow her. Instead he gave Solo and exact copy of his father's Death Glare and sat down in front of his computer. Solo sat at his and began punching keys. Mass amounts of information appeared on the screen, and Solo began to analyze it. He spoke aloud, not noticing the evil or annoyed looks he was getting from the others. He mumbled about battles and machinery for fifteen minutes. Finally, Xavier and Hope left, and Simon was left alone at the table.
Simon pushed his chair back and stood up. He was uncomfortable around Rion because of all the fighting that went on between Jasmine and Rion.
He followed his girlfriend to the hanger where he found her inside her Gundam. She was easily one of the handiest at fixing her own machine and she was in the cockpit with a tool box. He climbed up and sat on the open door which formed a small platform.
"Hey, how're you?" he asked.
Jasmine smiled briefly, "I'm ok, how about you?"
Simon considered an answer, "I don't know. I guess I'm a little sad."
Jasmine tightened a screw, "Why's...that?" she asked.
"Because you're sad and I don't know why."
Suddenly, Jasmine put down her wrench and reached over to hug Simon. "Sometimes you are so sappy WuFei Simon!" she said with a laugh.
"I know, but you love me anyways, " he replied.
A serious look came into Jasmine's dark eyes, "I sure do."
An alarm sounded within the building. The corridors were filled with shouts and pounding footsteps. The door opened and the pilots came crashing through. They all began to prepare their Gundams. Simon kissed Jasmine on the cheek and went to his Gundam. Jasmine closed the door and began powering up the Liberator when she received a message from Solo "Jasmine, Rion wants you to stay here. The Liberator isn't fully repaired."
"Screw what Rion says! I can handle it!"
"Well, don't blame me if Rion throws a hissy fit!"
"Yeah, whatever! Send me the coordinates and I'll see you there!"
